Astrid Van Landschoot

Since 2025, Astrid Van Landschoot works as Policy Officer in the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission. Her main area of expertise is State aid in the financial sector. Prior to joining the European Commission, Astrid worked for two decades at the Single Resolution Board, Nomura International (London), Standard & Poor’s (London) and the National Bank of Belgium.
Astrid holds a PhD in Financial Economics from Ghent University, with a Marie Curie from Tilburg University.
Astrid Van Landschoot has regularly spoken at conferences and given seminars in the areas of risk management, quantitative analysis, financial stability, and State aid.
