The Public Procurement Bill, currently going through the last stages of its legislative journey, envisages to transform the UK’s procurement by deregulating the purchasing exercises of public and utilities sectors as well as concessions. The much-anticipated reforms will introduce discretion and reduce the regulatory standardisation which underpinned the previous legal framework. This event will map all important aspects of public and utilities and concessions procurement that the Bill covers and points out the areas of secondary legislation and soft law through guidance that will be following its enactment.
