Dr. Αntonis Metaxas is Associate Professor of EU Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He teaches EU and EU Energy and State Aid Law at NKUA and TU Berlin. He is also visiting professor in various distinguished universities in Greece and abroad. He has completed his doctoral studies in the FU Berlin with ‘summa cum laude’. He is regarded as most leading professional and academic in his field by independent international Legal Directories (Chambers, Legal 500) and acts as legal advisor to a number of governments, regulatory authorities as well as major private and institutional clients, inter alia, on EU State Aid Law issues. He is author of numerous scientific publications in the fields of EU law, EU state aid and energy law.
