Bruno de Cazalet
Doctor at Law, Honorary Member of the Paris Bar, Member of the “Business Advisory Board” of UNECE PPP International Centre of Excellence, France
Bruno de Cazalet is both a lawyer and an economist. He has been a partner with the international French law firm GIDE for 40 years. He has significant experience in the field of PPP projects with particular emphasis on pilot projects since his involvement in the Channel Tunnel project 30 years ago. He was the lead transaction advisor in many successful pilot PPP projects including the first BOT Projects in China (Labin B power plant) and the first PPP power projects in Africa ( Jorf Lasfar in Morocco).
Building on this field experience Bruno de Cazalet has been conducting regulatory works on PPP and concession at the request of governments and International Organisations. He has participated to the drafting of the PPP legal and institutional framework in more than 20 countries. He has actively contributed to the drafting UNCITRAL Legislative Guide for PPP” in 2019 and was a member of the panel of experts for the drafting of the “UN-ECE People first PPP Model Law”(2020).
