The Dutch Customs Administration, where Erik is employed, is one of the leading Customs Administrations in the world. Erik has almost 40 years of experience in governmental organizations as manager, (senior) advisor, facilitator and trainer/lecturer. Over the years he specialized in the field of Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control, and uses his experience and knowledge to make Risk Management accessible to all levels of the organization, from strategic to operational. His background is in control and management and he embraces sharing knowledge and experiences in different networks. Both for Dutch Customs and as a trainer/lecturer, Erik is used to working in an international context. For example, he is involved in training Chinese Customs in the Netherlands (visiting delegations) and also in China.
