Nicola Pesaresi

Nicola Pesaresi is Head of Unit at the European Commission’s Task Force for the Preparation
and Conduct of the Negotiations with the UK under Article 50 of the TEU, where is responsible
for cross cutting policies and level playing field. He has been previously Head of Unit at the
Directorate General for Competition, with various responsibilities for State aid policy and
scrutiny,StateAidcase support andStateAidcoordination.He joinedtheEuropeanCommission
in 1999. He has previously worked nine years for the Bank of Italy. He is an economist by
educationand qualified forYaleUniversityMaster ofArts inEconomics, andBocconiUniversity
degree in Economics and Social Sciences.
