Paolo Patruno
Deputy Secretary General, CLITRAVI, Brussels
Paolo Patruno, food lawyer and journalist, secretary general of the European Spice Association (ESA), and deputy secretary general of the European Meat Processing Industry Confederation (CLITRAVI). He worked as a consultant for companies and associations in the food sector, shaping strategies of advocacy and fostering dialogue between the private and public sectors. Before joining ESA and CLITRAVI, Paolo served as a Legal and European Affairs Manager at Federalimentare, the Italian Food Industry Federation, and worked for Confindustria, Italian Small Business in Europe, a primary law firm, and cooperated with several newspapers and journals.
He is active within many European Commission Advisory Groups and Civil Dialogue Groups, EFSA Stakeholder Platform, and FoodDrinkEurope, as well as within international organisations, such as FAO and WTO. He was co-founder of European Livestock Voice and serves as a Director in the Board of two primary firms. He was a visiting professor of food law.
