Teodor Asenov

Teodor Asenov is a Case Handler at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition, working in Unit F3 on State aid for postal and other services since June 2021. He previously served as a Legal Consultant at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Brussels and as a Blue Book Trainee in DG Competition’s Unit for State aid to financial institutions.
He holds two LL.M. degrees from Maastricht University – in Corporate and Commercial Law (cum laude) and in European Law and Market Integration – as well as a Bachelor’s degree in European Law. His research has focused on State aid in the sports sector, and he co-authored an article on football-related State aid cases published in the CPI Antitrust Chronicle.
