App Store Antitrust: A Case Study of the Gaming Industry

App Store Antitrust: A Case Study of the Gaming Industry - 3767 Competition Law and Sustainability7

Are online platforms such as Apple’s App Store and Google Play abusing their dominance with their fees policies for in-app purchases? At the centre of this online event is the court battle of Epic v Apple – a case from the highly successful Gaming Industry – which could have major consequences beyond that sector. In our online event we dive into this case study and discover App Store Antitrust from different perspectives. This online event focuses on the topic of the most read competition law post on our CoRe Blog in the past 6 months. Its authors, Friso Bostoen (KU Leuven) and Daniel Mândrescu, will lead the seminar and will be joined by experts representing the perspective of regulatory authorities, the Gaming Industry and App Stores. Do not miss the chance to exchange with our experts from the public and private sector and take active part in the discussion.
