Dr. Andreas Bartosch

Andreas Bartosch (born 26 September 1969, PhD 1996), is a German-qualified Attorney-at-Law (Rechtsanwalt) who has been practising European Competition Law with a prominent emphasis on European State aid Law since the mid-1990ies in Brussels. Since then he has been representing various clients from the public and the private sector in administrative proceedings before the European Commission and has likewise been active in litigation before the EU Courts. He is a co-founder of both the European State aid Law Quarterly (2002) and the European State aid Law Institute (2003). Amongst his numerous academic writings he is most known for his legal commentary with C.H. Beck “EU-Beihilfenrecht” (1st edition 2009, 2nd edition 2015, 3rd edition 2020, 4th edition foreseen for autumn 2023).
