Barbara Zubriczky

Barbara is currently serving as Head of Department at EXIM, the Hungarian Export Bank. Her tasks mainly include state aid- and pricing-related legal advising in reference to a wide variety of loan and guarantee products, individual financing transactions, and export credit activity. She held a similar position at the Hungarian Development Bank (MFB) as the Head of EU Law and Compliance, where she was responsable for the areas of state aid and EU financial instruments. The main focus of her role in the field of financial instruments was the legal position and the commitments of MFB acting as the Fund of Funds within the ESI Funds financing structure.

Prior to the above she has gained experience at the venture capital market, advising on multiple public investment transactions targeting innovative startups as well as undertakings active in traditional industries, to be realized by the subsidiaries of MFB.

She also has an in-depth knowlendge of competition law stemming from her ten years’ case-handling experience gained at various antitrust departments and the Competition Council of the Hungarian Competition Authority.

Barbara has been graduated at the Pázmany Péter Catholic University (PPCU) in Budapest, and holds an LLM degree awarded by the Freie Universitӓt Berlin, as well as a Masters Degree in Capital Markets and Banking Law obtained at PPCU. In her years still as an undergraduate, she had participated at the course of Holborn College London constituting one year of the LLB Honours Degree course offered by the University of Wolverhampton.
