Dr. Pascal Friton

Specialist Lawyer for public procurement law, expert for international trade law, BLOMSTEIN, Berlin

Pascal Friton is a specialist lawyer for public procurement law (“Fachanwalt für Vergaberecht”) and an expert for international trade law. His public procurement law practice covers advice to both contracting authorities and bidders, in particular in the IT, defence and security, infrastructure, energy and healthcare sectors. In addition, he has longstanding experience in the field of procurement compliance (exclusion from public procurement procedures, corruption registers and self-cleaning).

 

In 2016, Pascal finalised his PhD thesis on selection/suitability criteria in EU directives at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. He is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on public procurement law in Germany, Europe and the US. Furthermore, Pascal is lecturer and author at the distance learning program on EU public procurement law at the King’s College London. Pascal is author of various publications on EU public procurement law, for example in Beck‘scher Onlinekommentar Vergaberecht, Beck’scher Onlinekommentar IT-Recht, Beck’sches Prozessformularbuch as well as in Beck’scher Vergaberechtskommentar.
