Emily is a lawyer specialising in climate change, renewable energy and sustainable finance. Emily has previously enjoyed a career with international top-tier law firms advising on matters such as the recent Equator Principles review and the Althelia Climate Fund and Climate Investor One blended finance funds. She is now acting as legal counsel for a renewable energy start-up, helping to establish a company with a mandate to deliver clean energy to the state of Queensland, Australia. Increasingly, Emily is excited about the role of innovation in the law to help solve our most pressing issues. Emily’s background in climate litigation and sustainable finance led to the development of her paper exploring dispute resolution mechanisms to resolve the growing body of climate change disputes against investors.
