Estela Casajuana

Estela Casajuana leads Profundo’s research on migration and human rights. She is a human rights specialist with over 9 years of experience in research and advocacy. Her work focuses on ensuring that European public funding for migration and border management includes strong protections for asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants in vulnerable situations.
Before joining Profundo, Estela worked as an independent consultant, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including governments, civil society organizations, international institutions, academic centres, and private foundations.
She holds an LL.M. in International Human Rights from the University of Essex with a specific focus on the human rights’ impacts of corporate activities and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Pompeu Fabra University.
