Dr. Jaime Sales

Dr. Sales is a Chemical Engineer with over 20 years’ experience on regulations dealing with chemical products and processes. His first steps with chemical safety were taken in relation to the EU Seveso Directive, first as a Grantholder and then as a Contract Agent of the European Commission at the Joint Research Center in Ispra, Italy. He then moved to become an expert in the REACH & CLP Regulations, first as Technical Manager of two industry consortia (Inorganic Pigments and Frits), then as EIMEA Product Stewardship Manager for the borates business group of Rio Tinto. Since 2018, Dr. Sales is Managing Director of Chemservice Iberia, part of the Chemservice group and provides support to some of the main Chemservice projects, and is co-leading the activities of the group in the field of advocacy, while following the developments of chemicals regulations in Latin America.
