Jens Buchheim has worked for Lidl for more than 10 years in Quality Assurance in Lidl Stiftung & Co.KG, the international headquarters of Lidl based in Germany.
At the end of 2018, he took over the responsibility for Quality Assurance in Lidl Great Britain Ltd. as the Head of Department, which was part of an assignment lasting almost 2 years.
Lidl’s Quality Assurance follows a risk-based approach and works in all quality related fields such as e.g. analysis, audits, sensory, customer complaints and product safety.
The first Lidl GB store opened its doors in 1994 and 26 years later, Lidl GB now have more than 800 stores and 13 regional distribution centres across Britain, employing over 25,000 people. Lidl takes great pride in providing its customers the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices and works closely with its suppliers to make this possible.
