Joachim Keller

Since 2019, Joachim Keller works as Policy Officer in the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission. His main area of expertise is State aid in the financial sector. Prior to joining the European Commission, Joachim Keller worked 12 years at the National Bank of Belgium as Policy Advisor on Financial Stability and Prudential Regulation.
Joachim holds a PhD in Economics (Université de Libre de Bruxelles, 2013), a Diplôme d’études approfondies (DEA) in Economics and Statistics (Université Libre de Bruxelles, 2003), and a Diplom in Economics (University of Mannheim, 2002).
Joachim has regularly spoken at conferences and given seminars in the areas of financial stability, prudential regulation, and State aid.
