Karina Stan is Director of EU Policy and the Head of Brussels Office for Developers Alliance. The Developers Alliance is a global trade association that promotes and supports the software development industry. Its members include industry leaders in consumer, enterprise, industrial, and emerging software, and a global network of more than 70,000 developers.

Previously she was Legal adviser and Internal Market attaché at the Permanent Representation of Romania to the EU, managing for 5 years a wide range of matters related to Single Market, Better Regulation and horizontal legal issues. Under the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council, Karina Stan negotiated on behalf of the Council the Platform-to-Business Regulation and actively engaged in the discussions on platform economy, following closely the developments of regulatory policies affecting the tech sector.

Holding a law degree and specialized in EU law and policies, she counts, prior to the diplomatic mission, over 10 years of experience in EU affairs within the Romanian Government, coordinating, inter alia, the process for transposition and implementation of EU legislation.
