Sarah Arayess (LLM MSc) is founder of the Amsterdam-based law boutique Say legal, with an exclusive focus on (EU) food law, consumer goods and advertising law. Sarah Arayess is admitted to The Netherlands Bar as attorney-at-law (advocaat).Say legal has two pillars: Say legal studio and Say legal academy.
Say legal studio is the law practice of Sarah, supporting companies active in the specific and dynamic (non-) food industry, from start-up to multinational and everything in between. Clients appreciate the practical and efficient approach of Say legal studio. The result: sharp advice in crystal clear language.
Say legal academy offers ‘knowledge transfer’ for all focus areas of Say legal, from in-house workshops to education, lectures and articles. Sarah is for example a frequently asked speaker on food law related conferences, lecturer of the course food and advertising law in the IP environment at the BBMM (Benelux Professional Education for Trademark and Design Attorneys) since 2015 and guest lecturer food law at HAN (University of Applied Sciences Arnhem en Nijmegen) and the Rutgers University in New Jersey, United States. She is also Council member of EFLA (European Food Law Association), member of NVLR (Netherlands Association for Food Law) and member of VvRr (Netherlands Association for Advertising Law).
Sarah is a fan of EFFL and the EFFL community. Sarah often contributes to the annual EFFL conferences with a presentation, she is the EFFL country correspondent for the Netherlands and, last but not least, she of course loves meeting up with fellow attendants over the traditional EFFL dinner.
