Overview

Linking people and regions, air transport plays a vital role in the integration and the competitiveness of the European Union, as well as its interaction with the world. Air transport contributes significantly to the Union’s economy, with more than 15 million annual commercial movements. The Union benefits from its position as a global aviation hub, with airlines and airports alone contributing more than €140 billion to the Union’s Gross Domestic Product each year and the aviation sector employing some 2.3 million people in the Union.

Our two-day intensive training on State aid for airlines and airport combines the presentation of rules and principles of Special Concern to Airports and Airlines with an in-depth analysis of most significant cases and Commission Decisions. On Day 1 we will focus on regulations unique for this sector, while Day 2 will be completely dedicated to case studies.
