The EStALI Spring Workshop is a pan-European platform for professionals to discuss all current questions concerning State aid in a focused and interactive setting. Held just one day before the EStALI Spring Forum, the two events complement each other and provide an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with experts from the European Commission and academia while gaining practical insights.
This year’s workshop will address two timely areas: the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), including the new guidelines, the forthcoming review, recent cases, and practical challenges from both practitioners and national governments; and Paks II and compatibility, covering exceptions, the evolving interpretation of the inextricable link, and the role of State aid and internal market rules in safeguarding competition between companies. Participants will leave with a stronger understanding of recent legal developments, their practical application, and the broader policy questions shaping the field.
